Neighborhood Watch

We all want our families to be free from harm and secure from danger. We want our homes and vehicles to be free from loss and damage. We want our parks and streets to be safe for our children. That's what Neighborhood Safety is about and we can all contribute to protecting our environment. It is not the sole responsibility of law enforcement to keep us safe - all citizens are accountable for taking actions to prevent crime and increase awareness in order to enhance our own security and safety.

Working together helps promote greater safety awareness, fosters neighborhood pride, helps reduce crime, and creates a sense of belonging among residents. The AMNA Neighborhood Watch program provides resources on steps residents can take to protect themselves and their property.

Check out the information under SAFETY LINKS & DOCUMENTS links on the right side of this page. You will find information there that can help you be part of keeping Anderson Mill a safe place to live.

One of the most important and effective ways to increase safety awareness is to participate in the annual National Night Out event that is held on the first Tuesday of October in Texas. This event makes it clear to criminals that residents will not tolerate crime, they are watching their neighborhoods, and will call in to report criminal activity. The AMNA and AMLD co-sponsor Anderson Mill's National Night Out and assist residents who want to hold block parties for their neighbors and benefit from getting better acquainted with the people who live around you. Watch your email for notification and information on how you can participate.
